Ugh, I never know how to start one of these things.
Is um. Is anyone familiar at all with a robot by the name of Robo-ky? I fixed him up recently and well, I'm not exactly a robot expert, but I think I did okay. If anyone who is more knowledgeable could take a look at him just to be safe though, I'd appreciate it. [...] As a warning, he can be a little hard to deal with so keep that in mind.
...
Actually, while I got this up. Have any of you guys ever noticed how obsolete the journal system is? It looks technologically advanced sure, but as far as a socialized network goes, there were far better ones back where I'm from. What are you supposed to do if someone is harassing you with dozens of filtered messages? Go over to them and beat them to a pulp? Put a paperweight on the journal and hope they go away? There's no way to block communications with a single person.
....and there isn't a precautionary measure put forth for this kind of thing is there? Is everything in this village ran by ear?
[ooc: Replies will come later. Gonna do a few older tags. o/]

Yeah, that will stop them from replying to my entries. But if they were the ones making entry after entry filtered towards me, it would be enough to clog up the journal page and make browsing through public entries less effective. [...] Or maybe I'm reading too much into this. It doesn't seem to be a problem either way.
[Written]
Is it that much of a problem right now or are we discussing hypothetical situations?
[Written]
Strictly hypothetical. Socially it seems like an easy system to abuse.
[Written]
Email or texting this definitely is not. But I suppose the Malnosso didn't have out complete comfort and security in mind with this system.
[Written]
It's a miracle they gave us a way to communicate at all. But at the same time it's better to give your captives something you can monitor, instead of letting them find a way to do it on their own.
[Written]
Big Brother is watching and all that. Though I wonder if alternate forms of communication are possible.
Re: [Written]
Probably wouldn't be that hard. Just a mail system would probably work. We already have a Welcome Center, training facilities, restaurants. So... why not?
[Written]
You'd have to find people to deliver and there's a thing of time, but it would be safer than writing everything over the journals. Or even instead of deliveries, a central pick up point and maybe a private message over the journal if someone has mail waiting for them.
[Written]
I'm thinking a pick up and drop system would work. Since delivering the mail itself might get tedious. I think it's something that's at least worth looking into.
[Written]
Maybe something could be arranged with the Welcome Center, set up a pick up and drop system there?
[Written]
Probably... [Maaaan. He didn't. Think HE would have to do it. But he might as well try to look into it.] I might try to talk to Rydia about it.
[Written]
I can lend a hand too, I'd been interested in seeing something come of it. I'm Ginia, by the way.
[Written]
Really? For a second, I thought I was the only one who cared. My name's Bruce. Pleasure to meet you.
[Written]
If I'm going to be stuck here I might as well make myself useful, right? Pleasure to meet you too.
[Written]
I was thinking the samething too actually. Might as well try to be as useful as I can before a random "Shift" sends me back. [Or whatever dumb reason the Malnosso say is responsible for that.]
[Written]
Mind if I ask how long you've been here?
[Written]
It's been about two months and a day if I've been keeping track correctly. How long since you arrived?
[Written]
[There's a small pause as she tallies up the days.] Ten days now.
[Written]
Ahh, so you're still fairly new. Not that I'm exactly a veteran or anything. Not compared to some of the people here.
[Written]
New Feather and all. I guess I lose my status once the next cycle starts up, right?
[Written]
Heh. I think that's generally the rule, yeah.
[Written]
Oh well, I'll keep my status with pride.
[Written]
[Written]
Well, moving on from that depressing topic, do keep me informed if something is started up? I'd like to help out however I can.
[Written]
Oh, yeah sure! As soon as I make any progress I'll let you know.
