Ugh, I never know how to start one of these things.

Is um. Is anyone familiar at all with a robot by the name of Robo-ky? I fixed him up recently and well, I'm not exactly a robot expert, but I think I did okay. If anyone who is more knowledgeable could take a look at him just to be safe though, I'd appreciate it. [...] As a warning, he can be a little hard to deal with so keep that in mind.

Actually, while I got this up. Have any of you guys ever noticed how obsolete the journal system is? It looks technologically advanced sure, but as far as a socialized network goes, there were far better ones back where I'm from. What are you supposed to do if someone is harassing you with dozens of filtered messages? Go over to them and beat them to a pulp? Put a paperweight on the journal and hope they go away? There's no way to block communications with a single person.

....and there isn't a precautionary measure put forth for this kind of thing is there? Is everything in this village ran by ear?

Oh, no. I'm not actually. I'm just surprised there hasn't been issues with something like this in the past. Or if there has been, there still doesn't seem to be any sort of method to counter, or even punish such behavior.

I suppose spam messages are harder to accomplish when the village is so small.

And everyone is barricaded in with one another.

And there actually seems to be a decent percentage of people here who are from worlds with limited technology. [He actually has to wonder if more people here are from worlds with limited technology or more advanced technology.]

I doubt there is. Sometimes it feels like I'm the only one who bothers to think about these kinds of things.

Others might think about them, but maybe you're the only one asking the question out loud.

But if we can filter to people and filter away from people, I don't see why one couldn't block someone outright.

That's possible. And some people don't come from a world that's as technologically advanced as mine so they may not be aware...

That's what I'm saying. It doesn't make sense. If only... there was a way to filter your entire journal from a person completely. If I could figure out how to do that then maybe...

Well no, not exactly. But when it came to networks like this there were ways to "block" people and stop them from communicating with you entirely. If a feature like this isn't a part of the journals, it could just become easy to abuse is all I'm saying.

That stops people from commenting to your entries, but it doesn't stop anyone from making dozens of filtered entries towards you.

This is why the system is obsolete.

Might not be a block feature, but you could always filter away from somebody if it's that bad.

But I guess that doesn't stop them from reaching you somehow.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. From what I can tell their entries will still show up so if someone writes ten or more filtered messages to a specific person, it's going to push the others back a bit.

...at least to the person they're filtering to, of course.
