Is um. Is anyone familiar at all with a robot by the name of Robo-ky? I fixed him up recently and well, I'm not exactly a robot expert, but I think I did okay. Actually, while I got this up. Have any of you guys ever noticed how obsolete the journal system is? It looks technologically advanced sure, but as far as a socialized network goes, there were far better ones back where I'm from. What are you supposed to do if someone is harassing you with dozens of filtered messages? Go over to them and beat them to a pulp? Put a paperweight on the journal and hope they go away? There's no way to block communications with a single person.

....and there isn't a precautionary measure put forth for this kind of thing is there? Is everything in this village ran by ear?

That stops people from commenting to your entries, but it doesn't stop anyone from making dozens of filtered entries towards you.

This is why the system is obsolete.

Hn. Well, I think some of the people could devise something like that if you ever need it.

I'm sure some of the people who have been here longer than me and know the journals better could probably whip something up.

But like I said. It's all just hypothetical. In the years this place has been here, I'm not even sure if I've ever heard of something like that happening once.

I've been here for a few months now, and I honestly don't see how.

Than let words cause problems? Not worth it. If you're going to mess with someone's head in this small of a place you can just do it in person.

Well yes, that's all true. But back home you would be surprised at the number of people who would go to such lengths. Not particularly for entertainment purposes, but rather to just abuse an obviously flawed system.

Why bother? There's a million flaws with this place, the journals hardly encompass it.

Probably. But it's not so much as why. But more as it could happen.

Some people would do it simply to annoy.

People are annoying over the journals even without targeting.

And sometimes people just tend to be annoying in general.

Always. They're just rarely not annoying, and then it's a blessing that doesn't last.

[Or you know, everything ever annoys Smoker easily. That's a thought too.]
